I grew up in Malibu, California, where I spent most of my time hiding in libraries. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and a Master of Arts in English. I now live on Orcas Island in the Salish Sea with my family.
I am the author of four biographies for middle grade readers. I’m currently working on mystery novels for teens.
I teach English remotely for Blinn College and teach for Oasis alternative school at Orcas Island High School.
When I’m not writing or teaching, I’m hiking in the woods, lifting weights, or digging in the garden.
